  2. SSD installation, erase of xandros install.

Yes I use swap, but the best would be not to use it (I will changed it personaly) and mount into memory temporary directories by adding to /etc/fstab/

    tmpfs /tmp tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
    tmpfs /var/tmp tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
    tmpfs /var/log tmpfs defaults,noatime,mode=0777 0 0
    tmpfs /var/log/apt tmpfs defaults,noatime 0 0

and use a 2Gb memory card.

  4. thanks for the advice. it seems to be working currently, but like yours it goes blue when you move the cube or do any other compiz moves. I did look through the menu’s but saw nothing relating to X11, i was gona maksure it was using it.

  6. hey nice demo. just wondering what software were you using for the cam? for me ucview wouldn’t properly show the preview with compiz running :(

  7. Wow. Remarkably smooth. Much snappier than I would expect it to be.
